The BDA's longstanding Preparing for retirement seminar was delivered live and online in November 2020 and is now available to view on-demand until early January 2021. The online event has been delivered in three, easy-to-access sessions, with the same great content and speakers.

 

You can book all three parts of the online event to gain financial advice on your retirement and understand the issues associated with selling your practice. Alternatively, you can book one or two of the events depending on your current needs.

 

Aim:

These online events will provide the participant with a comprehensive guide to planning their retirement.

  • Identify what is required when planning at the retirement stage

Learning content:

The three online events will provide the participant with the tools needed to successfully start planning their retirement and manage the issues associated with the sale of their practice. This will be done through a series of 7 lectures.

Senior Dental Legal Advisor, BDA

Len is the BDA’s senior dento-legal advisor, a general dental practitioner, foundation trainer and practice owner testing the NHS prototypes. He has 21 years’ experience as a dento-legal advisor supporting dentists with complaints, clinical and regulatory issues, and clinical negligence claims.

In his role as a Practice Valuation Manager for MediEstates, Scott spends the majority of his time in front of Dental Practice Owners providing a relevant insight into the current dental practice market. With each client’s circumstances and aspirations being completely different from the next, it is very important to establish the most appropriate route by which to achieve the clients’ preferred outcome. Before joining MediEstates in 2013, Scott spent several years working for Vodafone and RBS and so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from other sectors; his financial background proving extremely advantageous to this role. Outside of work Scott enjoys watching and playing most sports, including football, cricket and rugby.
