Up close and medical: bringing together London's health museums

The BDA Museum is delighted to be hosting this year's 'Up close and medical' event on Saturday 27 October from 2-5pm in London.
The event will bring together under one roof, the London Museums of Medicine and Health, including the Old Operating Theatre, the Hunterian Museum and the Science Museum and the Wellcome Collection.
These Museums and more, will be on hand with objects available for participants to investigate and handle and to find out more about their quirky collections.
Free event: The dentist will see you now…
During the afternoon, the BDA Museum will be running a free event for families: 'The dentist will see you now…' an interactive reconstruction of a lecture from Edwardian times for children on brushing their teeth. This event is recommended for children aged seven or over.
Sessions will be at 2.30pm and 4pm (lasting for approx 30 minutes) - places are limited, so please book early to secure your place.

The BDA Museum has one of the largest collections of dental heritage in the UK. Spanning the 17th century to the present day, highlights of the collection include dental chairs, drills, oral hygiene products, and the infamous 'Waterloo' teeth! Pop in and see for yourself.
