Continuing development for overseas dentists

While you are not on the GDC register, your focus will be exam preparation and adapting to dental practice in the UK.

Continuing professional development (CPD)

Many UK CPD providers, including the BDA, allow overseas dentists to participate in courses and learning activities, except for clinical courses involving patients, which require GDC registration.

While CPD participation can enhance your knowledge, certified hours will only count towards your mandatory requirements once you are registered and your CPD cycle begins.
