All our members have access to Health Assured, a confidential service designed to help you deal with personal and professional problems that are affecting your wellbeing.

Members can access the helpline 24/7, 365 days a year.

The service is a complete support network that offers expert advice and compassionate guidance 24/7, covering a wide range of issues. We strongly believe in providing an EAP service that offers not only reactive support when someone needs it but also proactive and preventative support to deliver the best possible outcomes.

Services Available

Health Assured offers cover for you and, in some cases, your immediate family (that is your spouse or partners and dependent children aged 16 to 24 who are in full time education or living in the same household), 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year:  

 

  • tailored Cognitive Behavioural Therapy solution for people experiencing menopause symptoms.

FAQs

Are my calls confidential?

All calls are confidential between the caller and their counsellor or advisor.


Exceptions can occur only if there is serious risk of harm to the caller or others. In such circumstances, the counsellor will always seek guidance before breaching confidentiality.

 

Analytical usage data may be shared with the BDA (excluding identifying factors)

 

Will my background affect my experience of calling?

One of Health Assured's four core values is respect, and within that we expect and promote all of our colleagues to be authentic and embrace diversity. As individuals we have a responsibility to ensure that no person is treated differently because of their skin, race, religion or gender. Our colleague-run diversity network Allied Pride - includes both the LGBTQ+ and ethnic minority communities with a clear aim of providing a welcoming and educated culture at Health Assured.

 

Health Assured are a committed member of the Race at Work Charter, including having our own colleague-run ethnic minority network and we employ a diverse workforce with broad experience as a result. We do also have affiliate counsellors on our network who are from an ethnic minority background or have experience of working with ethnic minority communities.  

 

Our counselling team have regular training and stay up to date with the latest news in order to understand all individual needs. Please be reassured that the counsellors will tailor the needs of the client and ensure we are supporting them in the most suitable way. We have over 1,600 counsellors across our network from different backgrounds, religions and ethnicities.

 

Who can use this service?

We believe that the best way to support you is to support your immediate family as well: Partners and dependents* can access the telephone helpline. Structured telephone counselling extends to partners and dependents also.

 

*Health Assured define dependents as living in the same household, aged 16 to 24 and in full time education.

Health Assured can provide additional support for a variety of personal matters, such as:

  • Medical information 

What’s included with the critical incident support?

Our trauma trained counsellors focus on solving an immediate and identifiable problem, enabling you to return to your daily routine quicker. If you require follow-up support, we are able to provide counselling across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
