NHS dispute resolution in England and Wales

Advice about disputes regarding GDS contract or PDS agreement in the dental practice, the process described in the governing legislation for England and Wales.

If you are in dispute about your GDS contract or PDS agreement, you should follow the process described in the governing legislation for England and Wales, which requires initial informal resolution before embarking on the formal NHS disputes resolution procedures or, possibly, the courts.

In England, the formal NHS disputes resolution process is the responsibility of NHS Resolution (an independent body established by the Secretary of State for Health) and managed by the Primary Care Appeals service.

In Wales, disputes resolution is the responsibility of the Welsh Assembly but an initial enquiry should be raised with NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership.
