    Sarah is a Solicitor in the BDA's Advisory Services team. She advises on a range of business and NHS matters, particularly focusing on NHS dental regulations and agreements.


    James Goldman
    Associate Director of Advisory Services, BDA

    James qualified as a barrister in 1994 and has worked as an in-house lawyer, in the retail, recruitment and public sectors. He has provided advice on a range of employment and commercial issues, has appeared in a number of tribunal cases and has lectured on a range of topics.


    Stephen Henderson
    Dento-Legal Adviser, MDDUS

    Stephen is a Specialist in Oral Surgery who qualified in London  in 1984. After five years in full time hospital practice he went in to general dental practice in Oxford. He continued to work part-time in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department of the John Radcliffe Hospital until 2000, when he joined Dental Protection. He converted his practice to a largely private referral oral surgery practice when he became a full time adviser at DP in 2007.  He continues to work as a visiting specialist in the same practice. In December 2017 he left DP and joined MDDUS. In his medico-legal career Stephen's expertise has been complex GDC cases as his medical law degree included a dissertation on Regulatory Law in UK. He has experience of international regulators and the management of claims in a range of jurisdictions. However, dentistry is similar around the world.     Jane Lelan

    International Dental Business Coach, Trainer and Speaker

    Jane Lelean is one of the UK's leading Dental Business coaches and trainers, she is a dentist and coach accredited by the International Coach Federation. Jane works internationally with dental and non-dental businesses enabling them to achieve the results they want. Specific areas of practice development that Jane covers include business development skills, strategic planning, communication skills, complaint management and prevention, time management, team building, patient centred sales - B.E.S.T. C.H.O.I.C.E.S and patient care coordinator training. Having sold her practice over ten years ago Jane remains passionate about clinical dentistry and is a Dentaid trustee, UK clinical director for Dentaid and regularly volunteers on Dentaid mission trips in the UK and in European refugee camps, and with the dental team at Crisis at Christmas. Jane is Chair and speaker coordinator for Oxford section BDA.


    Malcolm Prideaux
    Clinical Supervisor, Peninsula Dental School

    Malcolm qualified in 1979 and has over 35 years in General Practice and30 years as a Partner, selling his practice in 2016. He has been a Foundation Trainer for 25 years and is currently Clinical Supervisor at Peninsula Dental School, Training Programme Director for Cornwall Foundation Training Scheme and Associate Dean for PLVE (Performer List Validation by Experience) in the South West. Malcolm is Chair of BDA Western Counties Branch and English Council rep for Western Counties Branch at the BDA.
