Speakers

Raabiha Maan
Raabiha graduated with BDS honours from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2014.
Soon after qualifying she went on to become one of the youngest Dental Foundation Trainers for the North East London scheme. She enjoys teaching and has co-authored 'Dentistry in a Nutshell', a dental textbook, currently a number 1 bestseller in dentistry books on Amazon.

Raabiha with her husband and brother purchased a mixed dental practice in Isleworth London in April 2020 at the start of the pandemic. Here whilst navigating the business side of dentistry she enjoys practising general and cosmetic dentistry.

She has a social media following of over 10,000 followers which she uses to inspire the next generation of dentists to fall in love with dentistry. She advocates working part-time, mental well-being with social media and discusses the reality of owning a business and how she juggles that with being a mum. Her social media is unique in that it's focus is on the behind the scenes on the life of a dentist rather than the glitz and glam and smile makeovers we are used to seeing.

Rupert Monkhouse
Rupert is a general dentist working in practice in Pangbourne, Reading. Rupert has a keen interest in prosthodontics and is an active member of the international team for Implantology (ITI), where he sits on the young committee. He has a particular interest in removable prosthodontics which lead to the development of the #ImpressionClub group.

This has since evolved into a weekly live podcast covering all aspects of general dentistry which is available on multiple platforms. The sessions involve interviews with leading clinicians on social media, including those in the line up tonight!

Since the turn of the new year, Rupert has also released a monthly ImpressionClub newsletter which welcomes contributions from all in the community as a way for those who wish to write to have a platform.
