This interactive seminar will offer insights into the extraordinary ways that oral care staff can understand what patients really think and feel, and use these insights to communicate effectively with patients to achieve a much higher level of commitment to oral care and oral health than they have previously. You will know more about your patients than you ever have, be better able to predict your patients behaviours and have patients who are satisfied and happy to pay for treatments.

  • Attendees will learn how to use neuro-linguistic programming to promote good oral health.

Professor Liz Kay

Liz Kay gained her BDS in 1982 from the University of Edinburgh. She acquired a Master’s Degree in Public Health from the University of Glasgow in 1984 and remained there as lecturer while studying for a PhD, which she completed in 1991. She then became Senior Lecturer at the University of Dundee and then Manchester. She also undertook specialist training in Dental Public Health and for the last 20 years has been a consultant in the specialty.

Maeve Bradley is a Specialist in Special Needs Dentistry and Senior Community Dentist with responsibility for Elderly care in the Community Dental Service , Northern Health and Social Care Trust. Maeve will be speaking on ‘The challenges of treating modern day elders in Community Dental Practice'.
