IN-PERSON EVENT

What to expect

This one-day event will introduce delegates to the world of aesthetic periodontal surgery and provide hands-on training in surgical crown lengthening.

The event is highly interactive and delegates are encouraged to bring along their own cases for group discussion.

Delegates will be provided with copies of the course notes and have access to surgical videos following the event. The speakers will also provide consent letter templates for you to use in practice.

All instruments and materials will be provided. Delegates are requested to bring loupes with them for the hands-on sessions.

Please note, the hands-on sessions will be conducted on pigs jaws.

Aims

  • Understand the role of aesthetic periodontal surgery to facilitate aesthetic restorative outcomes
  • To revise the concept of biologic width
  • To look at different techniques for crown lengthening

Learning objectives

Following this event delegates will be able to:

  • Assess patients for crown lengthening procedures.
  • Decide which technique to apply to any given situation.
  • Raise a full thickness flap and remove bone with different equipment.
  • Provide crown lengthening for their patients.
