What to expect

This event will provide an understanding of how oral malignancy presents, how it is identified and an overview of the pathway required in order to provide care for such patients.

Meet the speaker

Mr Cameron 250X250 Malcolm Cameron Head and Neck Maxillofacial Surgeon and Clinical Lead, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust

Malcolm is a Head and Neck Maxillofacial Surgeon and clinical lead at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust where he has worked as a consultant for near on two decades.  He qualified in Medicine from St Bartholomew’s Hospital after his Dental degree at Guy’s Hospital, both in London. His training was completed at University College Hospital in London including Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.  He also spent some time at The Royal Marsden Hospital. 

Within Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, his special interests are head and neck oncology and facial trauma but he undertakes all aspects of routine work as well ranging from dento-alveolar surgery through to salivary gland and cutaneous pathology.  Within Addenbrooke’s he is a trainer for dental core trainees and surgeons in higher training.  Additionally, he looks after medical students at the University of Cambridge and is the supervisor for head and neck anatomy at St Edmunds College, Cambridge.

Recently, he contributed to the medical documentary “The Face Doctors”.
