What to expect

Build your confidence in managing stress and anxiety, and learn how further training in hypnosis can help your personal and professional life both in the short and long-term.

At the end of this session you'll have a fuller understanding of stress and anxiety, their pathophysiology and possible ways to mitigate them. You'll also have a better understanding of hypnosis and mindfulness and how this can improve stress resilience in themselves and their clients.

Paul Lim Paul Lim

Paul is a retired General Medical Practitioner. He was born and brought up in Malaysia, went to School in Wales, then medical school in Aberdeen, where he graduated in 1983. He completed his GP Vocational training in Falkirk and went on to be a Principal GP between 1987-2018. During that period between 2000-2018, he had a sessional post as a GP Specialist in Learning Disability where he established the Forth Valley LD Memory Assessment Clinic.

He first learned Hypnosis in his Psychiatry SHO post at Bellsdyke Hospital in 1985. He went on to learn more from the BSMDH before he became a full time GP. He has been using Hypnosis as part of his GP work since then, opening his own Complementary clinic in 1990 for his Non-NHS patients. He was lecturing for the BSMDH until last year.

Paul learned Homoeopathy from the Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital and started using Homoeopathy as a GP Trainee in 1986.

He learned Acupuncture from many eminent Acupuncturists from London and China, and he attained the Diploma in Medical Acupuncture in 1995.

His other Complementary Therapy education included Autogenic Training in 1996 and NLP Practitioners Certificate in 1998. However, he learned most from his patients as he uses various techniques to help them in their quest for better health.
