Meet the speaker

Flavio Pisani Flavio Pisani Senior Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology, UCLan

Flavio is a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Periodontology at UCLan/Honorary Consultant at University Hospital Morecambe Bay Trust/Royal Lancaster Infirmary. He teaches Periodontology in the UCLan BDS/DT course where he co-leads the 5th year module Integrated Clinical Knowledge. He is the Postgraduate Programme Lead for the two years MSc in Clinical Periodontology and Director of Studies for the PhD in Dentistry.

His expertise relates to the surgical aspect of Periodontology, with particular regards to Periodontal Regeneration and Periodontal Plastic Surgery and soft tissue manipulation around Implants. His research production mainly focuses on the correlation between Periodontitis and Systemic Health with two active streamlines in Periodontitis and Alzheimer’s Disease and Diabetes and Periodontitis in young teenagers.

There are parking spaces for people with blue badges in front of all the main entrances and in the main pay and display car park. Blue badge holders do not need to pay for parking at the hospital.
