  • Understand options for 3D smile design, stent materials and design, along with conservative teeth preparation
  • Demonstrate the use of injectable composites and light curing tips and tricks
  • Apply interproximal finishing and polishing options
  • Implement the alternate teeth method and PTFE tape for placing multiple composites
  • Identify troubleshooting strategies.

Dan Shaffer 250X250 Dan Shaffer Clinical Director, Active Aligners UK

Dan is an experienced dentist and dental technician, who has a passion and flair for all things digital. His dental practice, a private digital restorative practice in Hertfordshire, is well respected in the area by patients and dental professionals alike. Dan Shaffer is co-founder and clinical lead of Active Aligners UK.

Over the past two decades he has been committed to training Dental professionals on behalf of Dental Protection Ltd, is the assistant Dean of City of London Dental school and has delivered numerous in-practice and team training programmes.

He is an experienced broadcaster and filmmaker, writing and delivering countless lectures and training courses on Dentolegal, digital, restorative, implant and aligner related Dental subjects internationally.

We are looking for enthusiastic members to join the Kingston and District Section committee as general committee members and a new Chair. A role on the committee is a great way to get involved in the BDA at a local level and to help provide and shape local educational and networking events. It’s also great to have on your CV!
