What to expect

Join speaker Marian Vallina who will discuss factors affecting the complexity of endodontic cases to help us decide on the appropriate management, whether to treat or refer.

  • Provide an overview of commonly used endodontic complexity assessment systems
  • Update on endodontic diagnosis, modern diagnostic tools and aids to endodontic management
  • ⁠Identify complex cases which may require referral.

Meet the speaker

Marian Vallina 250X250 Marian Vallina Specialist Endodontist, Practice Principal at the Dental Referral Centre, Dronfield

Marian qualified from Birmingham in 2005, where she worked for a few years as a General Dentist. In 2010, she completed an MSc in Endodontics from the European University of Madrid. Upon returning to the UK, she combined her clinical practice in endodontics with a post as a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. She has since completed a Doctorate in Clinical Dentistry (DClinDent) in Endodontics from the University of Sheffield and attained the Membership in Endodontics of the Royal college of surgeons of Edinburgh. 

She is currently a principal at the Dental Referral Centre in Dronfield and works part-time as a Clinical Teacher at the University of Sheffield Dental School, supervising clinical sessions of undergraduate dental students and postgraduate dentists enrolled in Endodontic speciality training (DClinDent).
