Mallorie graduated from Cardiff Dental School and was awarded the prize for Oral Surgery. Following graduation, he completed a couple of years working in local Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Departments before moving out to Australia for five years. During his time in Australia, he completed the gIDE/UCLA Master Implant Clinician Programme finishing as their top student as well as completing a Diploma in Dental Implants from Sydney University finishing with a distinction.

Upon returning to the UK, he completed a Diploma in Dental Sedation at King’s College London before then working in London on the prestigious Harley Street four days a week and teaching oral surgery at King’s College one day per week. Whilst in London he completed his Masters in Oral Surgery as well as postgraduate degrees in Medical Education and one in Dental Law.

In 2018 he moved back to Wales and set up his roaming oral surgery and dental implant service, “South Wales Oral Surgery”. In 2021 he was awarded “Best Single Implant – UK” at the National Aesthetic Dentistry Awards, a testament to his unrelenting passion for providing high-quality, patient-focused and evidence-based care. In April 2024 he opened his specialist centre which consists of a team of specialists in the fields of oral surgery, oral medicine, maxillofacial surgery and prosthodontics. They provide a largely referral-based service for GDPs and GPs as well as being accessed directly by patients for their services.

Lyndon qualified from Cardiff University in  2005. After working at a variety of practices in South Wales, he undertook a part time Masters programme in Clinical Endodontics. Following this, he has completed a large portfolio of work limited to the field of endodontics (root canal treatment) and has been accepted onto the specialist list for Endodontics with the GDC, an accolade reserved for those who meet the highest standards for care, research and teaching a particular field of dentistry.

Lyndon also has an interest in sports dentistry, working with Cardiff City Football Club, the Welsh Rugby Union, the British Olympic Team and numerous other elite level teams throughout the UK in the area of sports dentistry. He has lectured nationally on this subject and covered major sporting events, such as the 2012 Olympics, international rugby matches and the Champions League Final.

Lyndon works with us completing only advanced root canal treatments and accepting sports dentistry trauma referrals. 

Amit graduated from the University of Liverpool and completed a four-year specialist training programme in periodontics at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute.

Amit was an Associate Specialist in Periodontics at the Birmingham Dental School for nine years and is still an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham School of Dentistry. He has taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including lecturing to dental practitioners both in the UK and internationally. Amit is also on the committee of the Association of Dental Implantology and the President Elect.

Rachel is a Health Psychologist and Lecturer at the School of Dentistry, Cardiff University.

She conducts translational research, applying psychology to inform and improve patient care. She specialises in outcome measure development, behaviour change and well-being research. In her role, she collaborates with patients, clinicians, researchers, industry and the public.

Melanie qualified from Cardiff Dental School and worked within primary and secondary care dentistry, prior to embarking upon oral medicine specialist training. After graduating from dental school, she worked in the fields of oral medicine, oral surgery, community dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. She began her role as an oral medicine specialty registrar in 2018, working in both Cardiff and Bristol.

Melanie is an active fellow of the British and Irish Society for Oral Medicine (BISOM) and member of the European Association of Oral Medicine (EAOM), attending conferences and delivering oral presentations and scientific posters. In 2018, Melanie was an assistant reviewer for the World Workshop on Oral Medicine, studying the topic of core outcomes in dry mouth.

Melanie was awarded her Fellowship Diploma in the specialty of oral medicine in 2024, following completion of her specialty training and passing the Intercollegiate Speciality Fellowship Examination (ISFE) in oral medicine, and was granted entry to the General Dental Council (GDC) oral medicine specialist list. Melanie’s interest is in complex mucosal disease.
