What to expect

This lecture will provide delegates with an understanding of the common dental emergencies, the different types of dental pain, and treatment options to treat dental emergencies and pain.

Meet the speaker

Zoe Abbas Zoe Abbas

Zoe qualified from the University of Bristol with Distinction and graduated with prizes in orthodontics, oral medicine, paediatrics and oral surgery. Following graduation, Zoe moved to Worcestershire and undertook her Foundation Training where she won the prize for the best Foundation Dentist in the Worcester scheme.

Zoe has gained experience in both private and NHS dentistry in general practice. She worked as a part-time Clinical Tutor at the university for a few years before joining full time as an Assistant Clinical Professor in Dental Public Health. Zoe teaches on the undergraduate student clinics and works on primary care. She is currently undertaking her PhD alongside her teaching role, and was recently awarded the ADEE Oral B IPE Educator Award.

If you feel at all unwell, we encourage you to take a lateral flow test the evening before you are due to arrive - should your test result be positive, we ask you not to attend.

If your test is negative, but you do have symptoms of COVID-19 (a new, persistent cough; a high temperature; or loss/changes to your sense of taste or smell) we kindly request you consider not attending the event to mitigate any risk to other attendees.
