IN-PERSON EVENT, hosted by the Tunbridge Wells Section

What to expect

Network with other local dental professional from 18:00, followed by a lecture from William Donovan which will review the GDC's "Standards for the Dental Team" regarding complaints procedure; explore the modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors for complaints arising; and discuss the psychological impact complaints can have on yourself. There will also be the opportunity to discuss several cases of complaints and how they were resolved.

Learning objectives

  • Review the GDC's "Standards for the Dental Team" for complaints procedures
  • Identify common risk and predisposing factors for when complaints arise and how these may be mitigated against
  • Appreciate the psychological effects that a complaint can have to your overall wellbeing and have strategies in place to reduce these negative effects
  • Understand a variety of complaint situations that may arise and how they were resolved.

Meet the speaker

William Donovan 250X250 William Donovan Specialty Registrar, Endodontics, Kings College Hospital

William has previous experience as a DCT (1-3) in various specialties, along with two years of associate dentistry in general practice and a year of foundation training. He graduated from the University of Dundee in 2017.
