IN-PERSON EVENT, hosted by the Tunbridge Wells Section

What to expect

Network with other local dental professional from 18:00, followed by a lecture from William Donovan which will provide review the GDCs standards for the dental team regarding complaints procedure, explore the modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors for complaints arising, discuss the psychological impact complaints can have on yourself, and review a case series of complaints and their outcomes.

Learning objectives

  • Review the GDCs standards for the dental team for complaint procedures
  • Identify common risk and predisposing factors for when complaints arise and how these may be mitigated against
  • Appreciate the psychological effects that a complaint can have to their overall wellbeing and have strategies in place to reduce these negative effects
  • Understand a variety of complaint situations that may arise and how they were resolved.

Meet the speaker

William Donovan Specialty Registrar, Endodontics Kings College Hospital 2023

William has previous experience as a DCT (1-3) in various specialties, along with 2 years of associate dentistry in general practice and a year of foundation training. He graduated from the University of Dundee in 2017.
