Your wellbeing and Time to Talk Day

Today is Time to Talk Day organised by mental health charities, Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, to encourage people to start conversations about mental health, and help end mental health stigma and discrimination.

Talking about mental health can help create supportive communities where we can talk openly about mental health and feel empowered to seek help when we need it.

If you're interested in taking part in Time to Talk Day, you may find the following useful:

If you are experiencing stress at work, we also encourage you to make use of our list of UK-wide resources. Whether you are in Scotland, England, Wales or Northern Ireland, working in private practice or NHS, in the salaried services or a member of the wider dental team, there are services available to support your mental health and wellbeing.

Members, who would like to talk, are encouraged to access Health Assured, our comprehensive confidential service designed to help you deal with personal and professional problems. You can access the helpline 24/7, 365 days a year to discuss any issues that are affecting your home life or work life, health, or general wellbeing. Not just a listening ear – legal information, bereavement support, and online cognitive behavioural therapy are also included.
