Dental practice owners in England: deadline for FP17 paper switch-off today
1 May 2019
From 1 May 2019 the submission of any new dental course of treatment must be completed electronically, under rules set by the NHS Business Services Authority.
Paper submissions for any course of treatment that began prior to 1 May 2019 will be accepted until 30 June 2019, but after this date, no paper FP17s (FP17O) will be accepted.
We've called for more financial support for dental practices, in the run up to the move from paper FP17 (FP170) forms to online submission only to the NHS Business Services Authority (BSA) from 1 May 2019.
Dental practices have been notified by the NHS BSA that they must either purchase a practice management system or use the online form within Compass; guidance on using the Compass online forms is available from the BSA.
If you have not yet got approval to use the online system via practice management software, you should submit online via COMPASS until approval is received. Any queries get in touch with the NHS BSA helpline on: 0300 330 1348.
