It advocates for the interests of dental students by engaging with dental schools, the Dental Schools Council, COPDEND, and other key stakeholders. It meets twice a year to ensure that there is a regular opportunity for students’ concerns to be aired and addressed.

Student Committee members get the opportunity to shape what the BDA does on behalf of dental students, advocate on behalf of other students, influence national policy, and enjoy excellent networking, leadership and career development opportunities. These opportunities include the potential for mentorship by senior elected members of the BDA through the dedicated Future Leaders Programme.
